Sycksyde was an influential American Horrorcore/Hip Hop group from Anderson, Indiana having inspired millions of rap acts and is part of a 2nd generation of Horrorcore rappers and groups. The group has been banned in over 36 countries and over 1,000 radio stations worldwide for their gory lyrics and onstage demonstrations. They have been often compared to Hardcore Punk icon GG Allin.

History:

Sycksyde formed in 2001 when Producer and rapper Bob E Nite under the name II Rel decided to give horrorcore a try with a demo called "Can You Kill What I Kill". The demo inspired fellow friend and high school classmate Mr. Kiltcha along with Meathead to form a group called Sycksyde. The recruited other underground rappers such as Icepick Willie, Komotose, and Sinister X to the lineup and they recorded their debut album "White Crosses". Shortly after the release Sycksyde toured with Esham and Kool Keith during the summer of 2001. After 2002 Sinister X, Meathead, and Komotose left the group due to creative differences and the rest of the group decided to venture into solo projects. In 2002 White Crosses was pulled from record stores due to controversy over the songs "Four Rooms" and "Bloody Valentines" and the group was banned in over 62 countries. Bob E Nite released the first string of solo albums with "Code: Dead" in 2002 and spawned a cult-classic with "MSG: Main Street Graveyard". Icepick Willie released a solo album along with Mr. Kiltcha's "Portrait of A Serial Killer". In 2006 shortly after Bob E Nite released his 2nd solo album "Dead Again" Willie, Kiltcha, and Nite decided to reform Sycksyde with a free halloween EP titled "Lights From The Pumpkin". The album featured all the original members including a new member, Juz-10. In 2007 The group announced they were recording their long-awaited follow up to "White Crosses". In 2008 The group released their 2nd and final album together titled "Sometime's They Come Back". The album was also the groups only album to be distributed by a Major Record Label as Alternative Distribution Alliance distributed the CD's while 3SE's longtime distributor Long Range Distribution took care of the digital downloads. The album debuted at #12 on the Billboard Independent Albums Chart and #2 on the Billboard Digital Downloads Chart. It is the first and only Sycksyde album to chart in the United States and was certified Gold in 2010 by the RIAA. In 2009 Bob E Nite announced he was leaving 3SE after a falling out with Mr. Kiltcha and the group was officially disbanded. In 2009 3rd Shift Entertainment released Sycksyde's only live album "Sometime's They Come Back: The Live Show".

Dental Work is the Detroit Murder City answer to the destruction of pop music, created as an extreme anxiety outlet for leader Jay Watson who maintained the project in the solo realm from 2006-2014, by then adding two full time members Justin Lee Smith and Sean Barry and a wide rotating door of guest collaborators. Hundreds of albums released around the world on labels such as Placenta Recordings, Grindcore Karaoke, Trashfuck Records, Scaglie De Rumore, System Breakdown Recordings, and many more fucked up labels from around the globe. Dental Work has performed hundreds of shows and played many a Noise festival in the USA and Canada. They have done collaborations with acts like Agoraphobic Nosebleed, and even continued a show during a police raid in Detroit. Yellow raincoats covered in blood, black liquid Bukkake wedding dress abomination rituals, broken electronics, homemade instruments, sex, drugs, and Musique Concrete...

They were hand burned and numbered, and now long gone. I recall a time where Bubblegum Octopus and Dental Work were doing a show at Far House in Ann Arbor, Michigan and were literally folding posters and assembling copies down to minutes before showtime...Lots of nostalgia here...BGO was one of the earliest finds for me when I discovered "internet music" and "net labels"...I remember downloading his stuff, contacting him, and immediately becoming pals...This formed into years of working together, a ton of shows together, and an eternal digital/IRL friendship. R.I.P. MySpace...Now available again in 2019 as a limited edition sealed CD of 25 copies with updated art and a bonus interview of BGO from WZRD FM Chicago...

Placenta Recordings is proud to announce our 550th release, HNW from Russia's Шумоизоляция. "Hovinmaan Paperitehdas" is a concept album about the life and death of a paper factory in Finland. Limited to 10 copies, 1st edition CD.

Hovinmaan paperitehdas (Бумажная фабрика в деревне Ховинмаа*) была основана в 1873 году. Годовая производительность фабрики составляла около 3000 тонн бумаги и имела хорошие продажи вплоть до Китая.

К концу 30-х годов на фабрике работало 125 человек. В 1938 году Фабрика закрылась.(по другим сведениям просуществовала до 1941 года). Во время воин часть зданий фабрики были разрушены. В 1944 году здание было передано Советскому Союзу.

В 60-х годах сохранившаяся часть здания была перепланирована под общежитие. В таком статусе просуществовав до конца 2016 года. В настоящее время, здание является заброшенным.

* - Финская деревня, до 1939 г. входила в состав волости Вахвиала Выборгской губернии Финляндии. В 1948 году была переименована в посёлок Кравцово.
